If you’re looking to celebrate Halloween in Gatlinburg, consider visiting the Ripley’s Haunted Adventure for a weekend of scary fun. Starting on October 5 and lasting through Halloween, Ripley’s Haunted Adventure is providing spooky entertainment for the whole family.
This 14th Annual Fright Nights celebration begins with a New Orleans-style character parade followed by a Halloween-inspired show. The show takes place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in October from 6:13 p.m. until closing time. The show changes each week, so visitors can be treated to fresh entertainment if they choose to return.
Another fun thing to do around Halloween, is take a Ghost and Haunt Tour in Gatlinburg. Take a walk around the streets and alleys of Gatlinburg and hear some of the stories of the unexplained and strange and also some very interesting history of Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains. Tour the White Oak Flats cemetery that was built in 1830 and see pictures taken of paranormal activity on the very tour you are on.
While you’re waiting for the festivities to begin, you can visit Legacy Mountain Zip Lines in Pigeon Forge, TN for a thrilling panoramic view of the countryside. Ziplines in the Smokies are the newest craze, and they give a great way to enjoy the fall colors and crisp mountain air as you sail over the tree tops. Once you’ve finished, you can make your way to the parkway in Gatlinburg to get ready for the Ripley’s show. Together, this will make for a fall vacation that your family will remember for years to come.
