1. Choose when you want to take your ziplining trip.
The first step for planning your canopy tour at Legacy Mountain Ziplines is deciding when you would like to visit. Each season offers something special for our guests.
Fall is a spectacular time to go ziplining because our excellent location offers breathtaking views of the fall foliage. From 450 feet off the ground, you will enjoy an unparalleled vantage point for the red, yellow, and orange leaves that characterize this magical season. For more information on autumn, check out our Guide to Ziplining in Pigeon Forge for Fall 2014.
Winter is a great option for guests looking to avoid the crowds. The quiet majesty of the frosty mountains is the ideal backdrop for a family getaway. Our hours are dependent on the weather during the winter months, so be sure to call ahead to make sure we are open!
Spring brings warmer weather and beautiful wildflowers back to the Smokies. When you go ziplining during the spring you will have the chance to see a variety of gorgeous plant and animal life from high in the sky. Average temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70s make this season very comfortable for zipliners.
Summer is all about fun in the sun. There is nothing like catching those golden rays while you soar across the Smoky Mountain skyline. Ziplining in the higher elevations is a good way to stay cool during the year’s warmest months.
2. Decide who is coming to Legacy Mountain with you.
The next step to planning your zipline adventure is deciding who to invite. Will you go with your family? Your friends? A date? Virtually everyone can go ziplining as long as they meet the following requirements:
Single riders must be between 100 and 275 pounds. Anyone under 100 pounds will ride tandem with a guide.
Children must be over the age of three to ride the ziplines.
Guests must be in good health with no neck, back, or heart problems.
Pregnant women should not zipline.
When you choose who will be joining you on your canopy tour, remember that Legacy Mountain offers special group rates for groups of ten or more. To learn more about our group discounts, visit our Pigeon Forge Zipline Group Information page!
3. Make your reservation as early as possible.
Legacy Mountain is a very popular attraction, so we recommend making your reservation as far in advance as you can. The earlier you make your reservation, the better chance you have of securing the ideal time and date for your group. We are currently running our Complete Zipline Canopy Tour three times a day from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m., and from 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. During the spring and summer months we offer extended hours.
