Making your Pigeon Forge zipline tour safe is our top priority.
Safety for every rider is the top priority at Legacy Mountain’s Pigeon Forge zip line, the premier zip line experience. Contrary to popular belief, zip line adventures are actually very safe. Legacy Mountain exceeds all safety standards and regulations for the industry to ensure each individual experience is extraordinary. The materials used to construct the challenge courses at Legacy Mountain were obtained from an ACCT (Association for Challenge Course Technology) firm that has been a part of the industry for many years, since the 1970s. The Pigeon Forge course was constructed professionally and is regularly maintained to ensure all safety guidelines are met.
Legacy Mountain ziplines use the safest gear available, including Petzl gear. The gear used at Legacy Mountain is rigorously tested to meet safety standards. Along with the best gear, we use a redundant, two-line, system that makes it nearly impossible to be separated from the lines. The harness attaches to both lines, so you are always connected.
Every physical activity has its risks, but Legacy Mountain employees are each carefully chosen and expertly-trained on zipline safety guidelines prior to becoming a guide. To assure you that safety is a top priority, Legacy Mountain Pigeon Forge zipline puts its employees through a week-long training program, training for eight hours per day. In order to become a guide, each individual must successfully pass all training activities that test the skills and knowledge of safety on the courses at the Pigeon Forge zip line.
It is important to listen to and follow the rules set forth by the guides. All of the guides are professional and ACCT certified, but they will never be alone in making a safety decision. Each zipline adventure will consist of two guides leading your group through the course. By following all of the proper procedures explained by the zipline operators and staff, you can ensure a safe ziplining experience. The zipline operator will be safely securing you to the line, but do not hesitate to ask questions if you feel uncomfortable or unsafe in your harness. Guides will happily double-check your riding gear and answer any questions, should you have any concerns throughout your adventure.
Please Note: We do not allow guests to take photos or record videos during their zipline experience.
